Ever been curious to know what your top 9 liked Instagram photos of the year are? You can find out by going here. Here is my top 9:
1: Meeting Matt Lewis
Need I say more? I met Neville Freakin’ Longbottom! I was so star struck and nervous I look like the biggest derp ever in this picture. Still a favorite. (Why am I clenching my fist?!)
2. A Good Ol’ Fashioned Mirror Selfie
Honestly, I probably got a lot of likes on this because the caption said: Shorts are something I was too self conscience to wear for a long time. I still felt a little uncomfortable in my skin today but I am tryin’ and that counts for something.
People like to offer encouragement. Plus… I looked cute so maybe it was a little of both. Wink.
3. Finishing My MBA!
This was obviously a big moment– and not just on Instagram. After two long years of going to school full time and working full time I finished my master’s degree and I’m really proud.
4. Protesting Gun Violence
I attended the March for Lives rally here in Kansas City back in March. It was cool to spend a day with like minded people and hear from so many young, smart and articulate speakers.
5. Justin’s Derby Banquet
It was really cool to be in his world for a night and watch him bring home two awards. We also got to look all cute and fancy which is always a plus.
6. A Really Good Braid Bang
Ya’ll… I think I was just having a really good hair day.
7. Meeting Mr. Plays With Squirrels!
We got to meet Will Friedle and he was SO NICE and we got to talk about Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World and he even did the Feeny call for us which…. is kind of a life-changing experience for a 90s kid.
8. A Very *Sammie* Gift from My Boyfriend
Leslie Knope is everything and fewer things make me happier than Parks and Rec. This shirt is so cool. The tour dates on the back are the best part. I love it.
9. Halloween Haunt Date With My Guy
I like that this came up on my top 9 because this is definitely one of my favorite dates we had. We rode in front seat on every roller coaster, took a picture in front of a Halloween Tree (?!) and made our way through a haunted house.
My top nine left out some of my favorite moments– my trip to Denver with Kim, Boston with Danielle and a Shania Twain concert in Omaha with Janessa but I guess that’s bound to happen when you try to represent your awesome year in only nine photos.
2018 has been really good to me, and I hope 2019 brings even more good things my way.
