I came across this idea on so many book blogs and I wondered if I could even come up with 25 facts about me that are book relate but it turns out it was much easier than I thought.
- When I was little I frequently cried because I didn’t know how to read. I was the baby of the family and I loved books and it killed me everyone knew how to read them except for me.
- My “guilty pleasure” reads are celebrity memoirs.
- I listen to AudioBooks in the shower.
- School turned me off reading for awhile. We were often assigned books I had no interest in. The Gossip Girl series is what got me into reading again. I picked up the first book to read on a camping trip.
- I reread books. I find it weird when people don’t. We rewatch movies and tv shows, so why not reread books?
- I break the spine of my book and sometimes dog ear pages. I think it’s a sign of a well loved book. Judge me.
- The year after I finished undergrad I read over 70 books.
- I fantasize about having my own library some people fantasize about sports cars or being a celebrity.
- I often struggle to read and enjoy the classics which makes me feel like a real dumbass.
- The book I have probably read the most times is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I’ve watched the movie countless times as well.
- I obsessively track my reading progress on GoodReads.
- If I start a book I almost always have to finish it. I really struggle with quitting part way through.
- I think I’ve read more books by Jodi Picoult than any other author.
- The last book I read was The Stranger Beside Me: Ted Bundy The Shocking Inside Story by Ann Rule. True crime books are another guilty pleasure.
- I get so excited when I find cheap books at thrift stores or secondhand shops. It’s definitely a rush
- I am continuously rereading the Harry Potter series– sometimes the breaks between books are just really long.
- If a book has been adapted into a movie or a TV show I will never ever buy the updated cover with the actor’s faces on them. I don’t know why but I hate it.
- I love talking about things I’ve read but I don’t think I could be a dedicated book blogger because I really struggle to write reviews that are worth a damn.
- I have a kindle but I will only use it to borrow books from the library unless it’s super cheap. If I am going to purchase a book I want a physical copy.
- I can’t read in the car which is a real bummer. I will get super sick to my stomach.
- I really enjoy historical fiction. It makes me feel like I am learning something about the time but putting a personal narrative to it. I struggle to read straight up factual history.
- I have read enough Nicholas Sparks books to know that when you read the couple is making dinner and a salad together they’re about to get it on. I guess when you find a formula you stick with it?GoodReads
- I like horror/thriller books better than movies of the same genre. I like the excitement but I think the fact I am not forced to look at what is happening freaks me out a lot less.
- My bookshelves are not organized in anyway. I am unbothered by it. My movies are not either. I think my boyfriend almost had an aneurysm the first time he realized this about me.
- I’m a self proclaimed bookworm. Keep up with what I’m reading and follow me on Goodreads!
